NTA conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for students to make them eligible for lectureship in colleges and Universities all across India.
The NTA UGC-NET is conducted in the months October/November once in a year.
1. The student with 55% marks in Master’s Degree from universities/institutions recognized by UGC. For OBC/SC/ST/PH eligibility is 50% marks for this Test.
  • For NET there is no upper age limit.
  • For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Maximum age is 28 years. An unwinding as long as 5 years is given to female candidates and OBC SC/ST/PWD classes competitors.
